By definition, all these games involve you playing against a machine. This is in contrast to all the other games such as blackjack, poker, roulette and craps where you play against other people and take their money. In video games, you are competing against a machine and this can be at times advantageous but at times very problematic.

Remember that a machine does not make a mistake, but reacts according to a set system. If you keep this in mind, you will fare well and make money, but if you begin to think that there is a player or a human there - you will lose. But this is not true. A machine does not take risks and will not succumb to any bluffs. It will play as it has been told to play. For instance, when playing video blackjack, the machine will back down as soon as it reaches 17; even though it can "see" that your cards number more than 17 and less than 22. In other words, it is losing but it won't take another card and try and beat you.
